Frequently asked questions

The short version of how marking, discussing, saving, and blogging work.

What is OnceMarked?

OnceMarked is a place to keep useful public links, discuss them with other people, and publish your own writing on a simple hosted blog.

What happens when I mark a URL?

OnceMarked creates or finds one shared page for that URL. The first person to surface it receives visible credit, but does not own the page or control the conversation.

How can I use OnceMarked?

Paste a public URL to mark it, then vote, save it for later, or join its discussion. You can also use a hosted blog when you want to publish original posts and pages.

Can I publish my own blog?

Yes. OnceMarked blogs give you a hosted address, posts, pages, themes, navigation, feeds, and analytics. Some publishing features are available only with Blogs Pro.

Can I add OnceMarked to an existing website?

Yes. Publishers can add the OnceMarked embed to bring the shared discussion, votes, and saves onto their own pages.

What is public?

Public anchors, comments, profiles, saved items shown on profiles, and published blog entries can be read by anyone. Blog drafts and account settings are not published.

How do I report a problem or get help?

Use the report action beside content that needs review. For another question, email hello@oncemarked.com. You can also read the community and publisher policies.
